Network Settings

• Standalone Mode requires a network with DHCP to lease IP addresses to WiFi clients.

• The MobileConnect Station can be configured with a dynamic or static IP address.

The MobileConnect system also supports NAT and Eduroam.

In Standalone Mode, the Station does not require Internet connectivity. Nevertheless, it is recommended to provide Internet in the WiFi network. Mobile devices may experience problems connecting to a network without Internet, due to restrictions set by their operation system (iOS, Android).

Firewall Recommendations

The MobileConnect Station requires the following ports to not be filtered:

Streaming interface:

• Port 8005, incoming, TCP

• Port range 3200 to 3400, UDP

Control interface:

• Port 443, incoming, TCP
